Colors Week *MWF*

We explored colors this week in the Lizard classroom.  We read the stories: Pete the Cat and His White Shoes, Cat's Colors, and My Many Colored Days.  We danced to the song Please Stand Up by Mr. Al.  In creative art we used blue and yellow paint and marbles to make the color green.  We also used eye droppers and coffee filters to make suncatchers to decorate our windows. Our science experiments were Walking Colors and Rainbow Skittles. We sorted counting Bear's by color and we sorted goldfish by color and then counted them.  Our sensory table was full of colored rice. We learned some Spanish color words. Red-rojo Orange-naranja Yellow-amarillo Green-verde Blue-azul Purple-morado
Next week we will be talking all about apples!
Stacking tiny colored chairs is great work for our fine motor skills.
 Creating stained glass art
 Sorting Counting Bears by color

Colored rice in the sensory table is a new experience.
Using hand-eye coordination to keep the marble from coming out of the box.
