Apples, apples, and more apples were the theme this week. We read the stories
The Little Red House,
Apples Here!, and
Ten Apples Up On Top. We created an apple orchard in creative art and painted with apples. We tasted different types of apples. We tasted red delicious, golden delicious, and granny smith. We then created a chart by signing our names for which apple we liked best. We used our fine motor skills to sort dot stickers by color and placed them on the apple tree that matched. In our sensory table we had the makings for apple pie. We used oatmeal, cinnamon, and cinnamon sticks with cooking utensils.
Next week we will be talking Fall and leaves!
Reminder: Fall Break is October 8-12
