This week was all about pumpkins! We read
Pumpkin Pumpkin, What Do You See,
Pumpkin Eye and
Spookly the Square Pumpkin. We talked about the life cycle of a pumpkin and the parts of a pumpkin. We "gutted" our pumpkin and roasted the seeds. Some of our friends like them but others did not. When we finished cleaning out our pumpkin we used a wooden mallet to hammer golf tees into the pumpkin. We learned the fingerplay 5 Little Pumpkins. Then we used the letters in our name to create our own pumpkins on a gate.
We made a delicious dessert on Wednesday called No Bake Pumpkin Pie. The recipe is in the pictures below.
Just a reminder that we have our pajama day on Halloween day. Please no slippers.
Next week we will be talking about real and make believe.
